Ideal harness for my miniature dachshund!

I was recently adopted by a 2yr old, miniature dachshund; he's 11lb, 13" long with a shoulder girth of 16" so a size 4 Buddy Belt was recommended. Prior to the BB, we were using a Martingale collar. Because my dog is so small, I have accidentally stepped on or tripped over his leash which would then pull on his collar! I found this far more upsetting than he did and went searching for a harness type solution. Given his unique dachshund shape nothing worked well and he was not comfortable until now. The Buddy Belt is terrific! Definitely a quality product with a bright, red leather "upper" neatly stitched to a soft, white leather underside. The hardware is rugged and should easily last. For size info, we are buckled at the 3rd hole and have a finger's width under the belt - snug without being cinched up too tightly. The unique elliptical shape of the leg openings attached to the chest piece allow a normal range of motion for my dog who doesn't fuss at all with this belt unlike the various harnesses we've tried.

Frankie is a mini and usually dislikes any type of harness. In fact he usually runs and hides. His new buddy belt fits so well and doesn't rub his legs. He doesn't mind wearing it at all

Excellent looks great like a GQ dog. Fit is good. Have Question how is it to wear in the summer? leather can absorb heat?

Bought a red buddy belt for our 1 year old Dachsund. He does not like it much yet, but I think he'll get used to it. The fit is pretty good, but the belt is constrained by a loop thing to prevent pinching it tighter (the little guys weight is always up and down depending on exercise level he gets). Quality looks to be quite good and other than a dog chewing it up should hold up for a long time. Its easy to put on and take off the dog (best we've ever used!).

I have tried dozens of harnesses for my dachshunds and the girls simply step out of them as their little legs are so short. I bought Gretchen and Abbe each a red leather harness and they fit perfect and no stepping out of them. Thank you Buddy Belts and Crusoe for wearing the harness in your video. Well worth the cost.
